Scouts BSA Awards

• National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award
  • The award is presented solely to Eagle Scouts who demonstrate remarkable achievements well beyond their Scouting endeavors by excelling in their careers/vocations at local, regional, or national levels. 

• Eagle Scout Project of the Year
  • This award recognizes the Eagle Scout Project of the Year for the Nevada Area Council. The winner is selected based on factors such as complexity, impact, and notoriety. 

Other Awards

• North Star Award
  • The North Star Award is presented by councils on the behalf of the National Court of Honor for nonregistered volunteers who have made a significant contribution to Scouting; on same level as the Silver Beaver Award.

• Silver Beaver
  • The Silver Beaver Award is the council-level distinguished service award of Scouting America. Recipients of the award are registered adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council.

• Scout Salute Award
  • The Scout Salute Award is a new award of the Nevada Area Council to recognize non-Scouts or organizations who have provided superior service to: Scouting and the Nevada Area Council or its Districts, or young people in general in the territory of the Nevada Area Council.
  • Nominations may be for specific individuals or organizations.
